1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the website of Barrett's Billing Service for Dietitians or by engaging our billing and credentialing services, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must cease use of our website and services immediately.

2. Description of Services

We provide medical billing, coding, and insurance credentialing support specifically for Registered Dietitians. The specific scope of work, including volume of claims and additional consulting, will be outlined in your individual Service Agreement.

3. Professional Relationship & HIPAA

Business Associate Agreement (BAA): Before any patient data is exchanged, both parties must execute a BAA. We agree to maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for the clinical accuracy of the documentation and codes provided to us. We process claims based on the data you submit; we do not provide medical advice or guarantee clinical outcomes.

4. Payment & Fees

Service Fees: Fees are billed as [e.g., a percentage of collections / a flat monthly fee].

Late Payments: Payments are due within 10 days of invoice. Late payments may incur a fee of 3% per day.

Non-Payment: We reserve the right to suspend billing services if accounts are more than 30 days past due.

5. Client Responsibilities

To ensure successful billing, you agree to:

Provide timely and accurate patient demographics and insurance information.

Maintain active credentials with relevant insurance carriers.

Respond to requests for additional information (e.g., denied claim inquiries) within 10 business days.

6. Limitation of Liability

Barrett's Billing Service for Dietitians provides no guarantee that any specific claim will be paid by an insurance carrier. We are not liable for:

Revenue loss due to carrier denials, policy changes, or patient ineligibility.

Errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete data provided by the Client.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the fees paid by you to us in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

7. SMS/Text Messaging (A2P 10DLC)

If you opt-in to our text messaging services via our website or CRM:

You agree to receive automated service updates and marketing alerts.

You may opt-out at any time by replying STOP.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement with 60 days' written notice. Upon termination, we will provide a final report of outstanding claims, but we are not responsible for follow-up on claims post-termination unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
